I am an artist and arts educator with over nineteen years of teaching courses in art writing and contemporary art theory, criticism, history, and practice. As a writing instructor, my breadth and scope of expertise includes professional, academic, and creative writing.

I have written and published essays about my own work and teaching experience, as well as about diverse topics such as Black Metal music, Czech poetry, fashion shows, and Art/Life boundaries. My publishing record includes academic, peer-reviewed, cultural research journals such as Public Culture and Helvete: A Journal of Black Metal Theory. I served as a peer reviewer for the Oxford University Press and forThe International Journal of Art and Design Education.
I have a background in installation, sound art, and creative writing; recent projects have focused on performance. From 2014-2021, I was the founder, Artistic Director, and Choreographer of Si-si Dance & Performance Art Project (Si-si D) where I worked solo and collaboratively on a variety of cross-disciplinary projects which were presented at art galleries, alternative venues, and in public spaces.
Currently, I am developing a chapter for a book anthology on Romanticism and Heavy Metal and creating an artist's book that relates to the topic of my research.
